EOA is a partnership of Auburn University, the Alabama State Department of Education, and the University of Alabama. EOA is regularly named in Family Tree Magazine's annual listings of "best" sites.

The Birmingham Public Library, Southern History Department holds a collection that covers every facet of Southern life and culture. If you are interested in Southern local, state, or regional history, arts and sciences, geography, genealogy, or folklore you can find information on all these subjects in Southern History.
